Treating Patients with the Latest Advancements in Cardiovascular Stents
This course delves into the crucial intersection of coronary artery disease (CAD) and dental care, exploring the latest advancements in CAD treatments, including coronary stents and dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). Learn how to adapt dental treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular stents to ensure safe and effective care.
Description
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most common type of heart disease in the United States. Recent advances in therapies and pharmaceuticals have resulted in decreased mortality and increased survival rates following myocardial infarction and stroke. This one-hour *interactive on demand webinar provides a historical use of coronary stents in treating CAD, along with the use of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). This course will highlight the dental considerations and treatment planning modifications to be considered in the treatment of patients presenting with coronary stents.
