ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.
PLS is designated as an approved Provider by the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, Inc. (January – December, 2020) Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial Board of Dentistry.
State regulations vary on the acceptance of CEUs earned from out of state providers as well as CEU’s earned over the internet. Refer to your state’s regulations to determine if CEU’s earned by attending a Professional Learning Services webinar count, in whole or in part, toward your CE requirement.
PLS strictly complies to CoViD State and federal guidelines for all live classes.Effective January, 2020: (PA 19-72) CE regulations for Connecticut now allow dental hygienists to take all CE online (i.e. webinars) that are CT compliant.
By October 1, 2020, Dental Assistants are required by the CT Dept. of Public Health to be D.A.N.B. certified (or an alternative exam in CT) in Infection Control. Radiation Health and Safety also requires certification if exposing patients to x-rays is part of their duties.
Sexual Harassment in the Workplace training is mandatory for all healthcare professionals in CT. Compliance must be achieved by January 1, 2021 and every 10 years after that. All dental employees must take this training.
