AHA CPR: Basic Life Support & AED for Healthcare Provider Team Response
This hands on course trains dental professionals in first responder scenarios. It includes current techniques for adult and pediatric victims and 2026 guidelines for:
- Stroke recognition
- Rescue breathing
- AED (automated external defibrillator)
- CPR (team roles)
- Airway obstruction
- Use of Narcan nasal spray for drug overdose
- EpiPen injection for severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
AHA Instructor: Katie Criswell RDH,BS, AHA instructor since 2020 is affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital. She is the CE Provider and owner of CT CPR, Hamden, CT. Katie graduated with a BS in dental hygiene from East Tennessee State University in 2007 and has been practicing for 20 years of which 6 years are in Connecticut since 2018.
