This *interactive on demand webinar explores the oral health risks associated with adolescent bulimia and vaping, focusing on key issues like dental erosion, gingival inflammation, and xerostomia. Participants will learn to identify these oral manifestations and understand their underlying causes.   3. Apply knowledge through case study analysis by assessing key oral health issues and psychosocial factors in adolescent patients with bulimia and vaping habits, and proposing appropriate intervention strategies.
  4. Develop strategies for early detection of bulimia and vaping-related oral health issues and outline a multidisciplinary approach for effective treatment and support.

Speaker: Katie Pudwill, RDH, BS, MS, PhD candidate is a clinical dental hygienist in South Dakota with the Department of Corrections. She is a dental hygiene educator at the University of South Dakota, and teaches Periodontics, Dental Anatomy, Oral Pathology, and Ethics and Jurisprudence. She has 15 years of clinical experience and 10 years of teaching experience.
