The spread of communicable diseases has impacted the delivery of dental services. This *interactive course reviews the principles of body mechanics, addresses the ergonomic needs of clinicians and discusses options in the clinical environment to enhance the dental provider’s musculoskeletal health.
Learning Objectives: The participant will:
- Integrate basic science of human factors/body mechanics/ergonomics into the clinical environment.
- Position yourself and client to achieve a neutral and effective working posture to provide optimal oral health services.
- Minimize stress, noise and fatigue in the clinical environment.
- Compare and select products to meet the needs of the clinician.
