PLS Policies, Terms and Conditions
A. Seminars (see below for the DHRP) rev 1/1/2022
Tuition will be refunded less a $30.00 administrative fee if written notice is received 10 business days or more in advance of the scheduled course date. Alternatively, you may elect to receive the full value of the tuition paid in the form of a store credit valid for one year from the issue date.
For cancellations with less than 10 business days’ notice but greater than 48 hours’ notice a store credit will be provided valid for one year.
Full loss of tuition, including the opportunity for store credit, will result if you do not attend the course and did not provide the 48-hour notice.
If you are sending someone to take your place you must notify us in advance otherwise, they will not be allowed into the course. Work out the finances with them.
B. Live Webinars rev 1/1/2022
Similar to concert or other event ticket purchases, your purchase of access to a live webinar is non refundable. In the event you are unable to attend a live webinar we will provide 3-day access to the on-demand version of the course IF it becomes available on the PLS site. The availability of on-demand webinars is not guaranteed and is contingent on several factors including: 1. Permission to record the webinar, 2. Quality of the recording and 3. time required to produce it (which could be months). No refunds or store credits will be provided.
C. On Demand Webinars rev 1/1/2022
On demand webinars are available on a subscription basis, for the period of time purchased. No refunds or store credits will be issued for the on-demand webinars.
D. Dental Hygiene Refresher Program (DHRP) / Dental Hygiene Remedial Program (DHRP)
(1) The DHRP is a unique, intensive program with limited enrollment. Administrative costs for on-boarding are significant, and a substantial portion of course content is delivered upon receipt of the course deposit. For these reasons, the course deposit is non-refundable. Please ensure you are able and committed to attend before enrolling.
Students should verify access to online course content immediately after enrollment. If you experience any difficulty accessing the online materials, please contact us promptly at mturcotte@pls.org.
(2) Tuition Payment Policy
a. Payment of the course deposit grants immediate access to digital course materials and reserves a seat in the live portion of the program. Upon receipt of the deposit, a substantial portion of the course content—including educational documents and on-demand training—is delivered. Accordingly, the course deposit is non-refundable regardless of whether the digital content is accessed. rev 1/1/2022
b. Full tuition payment is due no later than thirty (30) days prior to the course start date. rev 1/1/2022
Tuition balances not paid in full by this deadline may be subject to a late payment surcharge of up to fifty dollars ($50.00), which will be added to the total tuition cost. If full payment has not been received 26 days prior to the course start date, and the student is unresponsive to PLS communications, PLS will withdraw the student from the course. In such cases, the cancellation policy for notices of less than 30 days will apply. rev 12/21/2025
Cancellations — 30 Days or More rev 1/1/2022
If written notice of cancellation is received 30 days or more prior to the scheduled course start date and additional tuition payments have been made, tuition will be refunded less the course deposit. Alternatively, the student may elect to receive the full value of tuition paid as a store credit, valid for re-enrollment in the program for up to one (1) year from the scheduled course date.
Cancellations — Less Than 30 Days rev 1/1/2022
Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the scheduled course start date are not eligible for a cash refund. In these cases, PLS will issue a store credit that may be used to re-enroll in the program for up to one (1) year from the scheduled course date.
Administrative Withdrawals rev 1/1/2022
PLS may, at its sole discretion, remove a student from a course if the student is not adequately prepared or if their participation may negatively affect other students. Refunds will follow the policy for cancellations made 30 days or more in advance unless the withdrawal occurs during the live, in-classroom portion of the course, in which case no refund or store credit will be issued.
Acts of God rev 1/1/2022
In the event of circumstances beyond our control—including, but not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other Acts of God—PLS reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel the course. PLS will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes and accommodate participants. Any refunds, credits, or alternative arrangements will be determined on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Professional Learning Services, LLC.
Refund Processing rev 1/1/2022
Refunds are issued only to the original payer and are subject to deduction of applicable administrative and credit card processing fees.
Policy Enforcement rev 1/1/2022
Enrollment in a PLS course constitutes acceptance of and agreement to comply with all policies stated herein.
Policy Updates rev 12/21/2025
Professional Learning Services (PLS) may update or modify its policies at any time. Changes will be posted on the PLS website and will apply to future enrollments. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to students who have already enrolled and paid.
