The Dental Hygiene Refresher Program (DHRP) is a one-of-a-kind clinical skills and knowledge update that has run twice a year since 1988 and typically sells out quickly.  It is  conducted over  three days and includes self study to prepare for the live program.  Class size is limited for maximum guidance and instruction. The instructors are experienced clinicians and professional educators.  The style of teaching is humanistic.

  • The DHRP offers quality, individually tailored RDH refreshers to prepare the dental hygienist for re-taking clinical boards, preparation for clinical practice, re-entering the dental hygiene profession, and meeting dental continuing education credit requirements.
  • It is customized to meet individual needs for graduates with a dental hygiene degree pursuing a new license or reinstatement of an existing license in certain states.
  • It offers mannequin and clinical practice coaching.
  • It prepares foreign trained dentists for dental hygiene clinical boards and scope of practice.
  • CEUs (credits) are issued upon successful course completion.

  • I took the PLS course this past May. It was truly an answer to prayer. I worked as a dental hygienist full time for three years and then two more part time over twenty-five years ago. At that point I entered into full time mommy-hood and ran several businesses from home. I had no desire or expectation to re-enter the profession. Then life took an unplanned turn. I tried to find help to restart and for over a year came up empty handed! Finally I found PLS. Joyce was the first to speak. The course included a nice mix of the latest products, current information and experiences with current dental software. We also had the opportunity to have our technique critiqued.
