This course will introduce dental hygiene instruments that will improve technique and time management. Oftentimes, there are difficult areas to access and we struggle to do our best. Through the use of typodonts, instruments and guided instruction, the dental hygienists will practice calculus detection and removal to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Sharp instruments reduce pain! The number one contributor to hand and wrist pain is dull instruments. Dull instruments require you to apply too much pressure or maintain an unnatural hand and wrist position, both reasons for extreme pain after a full day of appointments.
With innovative technologies, we will train you to create the sharpest tools and maintain that sharpness all through the day, eliminating the main source of pain for hygienists.
