AHA CPR: Basic Life Support & AED for Healthcare Provider Team Response
This hands on course trains dental professionals in first responder scenerios. It includes current techniques for adult and pediatric victims and guidelines for:
- Rescue breathing
- AED (automated external defibrillator)
- CPR (team roles)
- Airway obstruction
- Use of Narcan nasal spray for drug overdose
- EpiPen injection for severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
AHA Instructors: Joyce Turcotte, RDH, M.Ed., FAADH, BLSI, Emergency Care Institute Training Site Faculty, affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital. Training is provided by AHA authorized experienced instructors with dental backgrounds.
AHA POLICY: CPR cards are E-cards are emailed to individual email addresses. The e-card is active for two years. Within 10 day after course completion, you will receive an email notice from the AHA to claim your card. Download multiple copies to keep on file. Claim your card immediately. Check spam if no notification, contact PLS.
